Dr. Brian Fabian

Brian Fabian, MD

Dr. Fabian is a board-certified Dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon. He earned his medical degree in 1991 from Louisiana State University School of Medicine through a United States Air Force Scholarship. During this time, he was recognized for his scholastic achievements and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After completing his internship at Wilford Hall Air Force Medical center in San Antonio, Texas, he served as a flight surgeon with assignments to Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi and San Vito Air Station, Italy. While deployed in Italy during the Bosnian War, Dr. Fabian served with Special Operations Forces and was assigned to combat search and rescue.

Following his military service, he completed a residency in dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Fabian then earned a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at the University of Louisville while serving as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology. He has authored several publications on both dermatology and military medicine and has presented his work at national conferences.

Prior to establishing his practice in Southwest Florida in 2003, he practiced in the Tampa Bay area and in Palm Beach County. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, and the Lee County Medical Society. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Fabian is on staff as a Mohs surgeon at the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville.

Dr. Fabian is married and has two children and a dog. His daughter is completing a dermatology residency, and his son is a highly ranked competitive swimmer at Boston College. When he’s not going to his son's to swimming competitions around the state and country he enjoys fishing, hiking, travel, and fitness.

Melanie DiBartolomeo Danner

Melanie DiBartolomeo Danner, PA-C

Melanie DiBartolomeo Danner is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She is a Florida native and grew up in Boynton Beach. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and a degree in surgical technology from Keiser University. She worked in the operating room for several years prior to completing her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida and joined the Fabian Dermatology practice in 2019.

In her spare time, Melanie enjoys keeping fit, hiking and camping with her dog, attending concerts and events, and volunteering for worthy causes.

Insurances

We participate with Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Aetna. Many other plans have out of network benefits that may allow you to receive care from our office. We do our best to verify insurance benefits but it is ultimately the patient’s responsibility to cover any costs incurred beyond what insurance will cover.

We welcome self-pay patients, including visitors from Canada and Europe. We charge reasonable rates while maintaining a high standard of care.
